Klaywell is a veteran owned ceramics company.
Steve Fuller, founder and owner of Klaywell, graduated from West Point and served in the United States Army, deploying to Iraq twice. Steve went on to earn a Master’s in Engineering and an MBA from MIT.
From Combat Veteran to Inventor
Steve is a husband and a father of four young daughters. After dinner and before bedtime, it is tradition for Steve to wash the dishes and tidy up the kitchen. It was behind the kitchen sink the invention for Klaywell’s tray set was born.
Looking for a way to improve upon ordinary solutions to store dish soap, sponges, and brushes, Steve discovered he could reduce bacteria build up and decrease the drying time of the sponge when he placed it on an angle with minimal surface contact. Seeing a way to improve the design of a common kitchen product, Steve invented a patented two-sided stand that improves the longevity and cleanliness of the kitchen sponge.
His ultimate mission with Klaywell is to empower the lives of customers.
